Program podczas instalacji komunikuje się z użytkownikiem w języku polskim, informując go nawet o swoim przeznaczeniu.

Pierwsza część okna głównego programu. Jak widać, nie tylko instalator ale również sam program jest w języku polskim.

Wszelkie skojarzenie jednej z "ozdób twarzy" udostępnionych w programie, z jednym z członków załogi forum
programyzadarmo.net.pl może być przypadkowe i z pewnością nie było zamierzone przez autora programu.
Również piszący te słowa, w żadnym przypadku niczego nie sugeruje tak, aby opinię publiczną wprowadzić w błąd.

SplitCamera jest darmowym sterownikiem pozwalającym na rozdzielenie strumienia video z pojedynczego źródła na wiele aplikacji.

Na ogół jeśli użytkownik posiada kamerę internetową lub kamerę video podłączoną do komputera nie może jej użyć w więcej niż 1 aplikacji w tym samym czasie i nie ma standardowych opcji w systemie Windows mogących to zmienić. Program współpracuje z każdym modelem kamery internetowej, kamerami video (analogowymi i cyfrowymi: VHS,DV,TV-IN TV-Tuner).

Dzięki SplitCamera możliwe jest m.in. zorganizowanie wieloosobowej videokonferencji w komunikatorach ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Skype Video, Camfrog, AOL AIM, Pal Talk. Program pozwala na podłączenie do jednego źródła video maksymalnie 64-u klientów.

• Added unintrusive messages which are shown above canvas. They are indended to give user some hints and tips, informational messages, warnings, etc. A sound is played when such message is displayed and user attention is desirable.

• Added an option during SplitCam installation to disable usage of Frame Server by Windows Media Foundation. Frame Server is a Microsoft's way of providing more secure access to webcams. Unfortunately it also breaks some existing functionality of Windows when working with web-cameras. Set this option during SplitCam installation process to disable Frame Server and restore multiple applications access to connected webcams. This is a system-wide setting. SplitCam will not try to change it when the option is not checked and it will not change it during uninstall process.

• Added processing of TAB key in some UI dialogs. Full TAB key support will be added in later versions.

• Measure internet upload speed and advise user to turn on or off the usage of restreaming service. Speed test is performed once on program startup and is saved until SplitCam is restarted. Testing takes up to a few minutes and runs in the background. Whenever user starts streaming a message will appear above the canvas if Restream setting is not optimal.

• Dynamically update the list of restream servers to the verified version during program startup.

• User Interface Localization Editor added to SplitCam. It is run as a separate application and can be started from SplitCam's main menu. Use the Localizer to prepare and share translations of user interface strings to other languages.
• Custom Frame effect now has a separate setting for selecting an external file to be used as a frame. Any supported image file can be used as a frame.
• "Add Paused" and "Looped" options are now available when adding a playlist to the scene.
• SplitCam's Virtual Camera replaced with a completely new version.
