SystemRescueCd 5.1.1

SystemRescueCD jest specjalistyczną dystrybucją typu LiveCD opartą o Gentoo. Jej głównym zadaniem jest naprawa systemu i odzyskiwanie danych utraconych np. w wyniku awarii. Wspierane są wszystkie najpopularniejsze systemy plików: ext2/ext3/ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, btrfs, xfs, jfs, vfat, ntfs, iso9660 zapewniając uniwersalność. Dystrybucja została wyposażona w cały szereg narzędzi:

· GNU Parted, GParted - zarządzanie partycjami
· Partimage - zapisywanie i wczytywanie obrazu partycji
· FSArchiver elastyczne narzędzie do zapisywania / przywracania systemu plików do skompresowanego archiwum.
· Ntfs3g - zapisywanie i odczytywanie partycji NTFS
· sfdisk - zapisywanie i przywracanie obrazu tablicy partycji
· ddrescue - odzyskiwanie danych
· Test-disk - odszukiwanie i odzyskiwanie partycji (obsługiwane m.in. formaty reiserfs, ntfs, fat32 i ext2/3)
· Memtest + - testowanie pamięci RAM
· Narzędzia systemowe dla systemów plików Linuxa i Windowsa
· Narzędzia sieciowe (np. Samba, NFS, ping i nslookup)

Najnowsza edycja SystemRescueCD wykorzystuje jądro Linux w wersji 3.4.35, a domyślnym środowiskiem graficznym jest Xfce.
