OSFMount to darmowy emulator wirtualnych napędów w systemie Windows, oferujący wiele ciekawych funkcji. Pozwala on przeglądać i wyodrębniać wybrane dane z obrazów dysków w kilku najpopularniejszych formatach.

Narzędzie pozwala montować w systemie dowolną ilość wirtualnych napędów i umieszczać w nich obrazy dysków IMG, DD, ISO, BIN, 00N, NRG, SDI, AFF, AFM, AFD, E01, S01 oraz VMDK należące do firmy VMware. Dostęp do zgromadzonych w ich obrębie danych jest identyczny jak w przypadku standardowych nośników danych podłączonych do komputera. Podobnie dostępne są one w systemie pod wskazaną przez użytkownika literą.

Po stworzeniu wirtualnego dysku, możemy przeglądać jego zawartość z poziomu Eksploratora Windows.

OSFMount posiada także inną, godną uwagi funkcję. Mowa o wbudowanej w programie opcji tworzenia tzw. RAM-dysków. Są one niczym innym, jak wirtualnym dyskiem zamontowanym w obrębie dostępnej pamięci RAM. Posłużyć one mogą do przechowywania danych, do których wymagany jest szybki i częsty dostęp, a także wszelakich poufnych informacji np. gromadzonych przez przeglądarki (są one kasowane po każdym restarcie komputera).

Poniżej wersja portable tego kapitalnego programu, który potwierdza, iż niektóre darmowe wersje są znacznie lepsze od płatnych, jeśli w ogóle nie najlepsze, jak i że niektóre firmy pomimo istnienia fantastycznych darmowych wersji tworzą ich płatne zamienniki nie dorastające im do pięt ( :dziwak jakby progsy miały pięty :dziwak )

Compiled with Visual Studio 2017 and Driver Built using WinDDK 10. The consequence of this is that the minimum OS required is now Windows 7 SP1 and we are longer supporting older operating systems XP & Vista.
-Dramatic speed improvements for blank RAM disks. Speed improvements are a result of,
-New compiler with better code optimization
-Forcing the RAM drive to be held in physical RAM (if free space is available on initial mounting). So no swapping to disk. Making it more important than ever to make sure you have sufficient free RAM available.
-Rewrite of the device driver code to remove overheads in the handling of I/O request packets (IRPs), which read and write data from the RAM drive.
-At the time of this release, we believe this is the fastest RAM drive software available. Some examples of the speed increases compared to the previous release are 290% faster for 4K IOPS reads and 57% faster linear reads.
-Updated EWF library to libewf-20160424

  • Fixed issue with not recognizing partitions from large E01 images after mounting.
  • Warning shown when formatting small drives. OSFMount cannot format empty ram drives that are smaller than 260 MB. They may be possible to be formatted using Windows.

  • AAdded option to specify Volume Label when formatting. For Command Line, specify format:"Vol Label" under the options (-o). Example Syntax:
    osfmount -a -t vm -m "F:" -o format:"RamDisk" -s 1G
  • OSFMount GUI will new auto refresh drive list when images are mounted/unmounted using Command Line Interface.
  • When mounting a new image using the command line and the mount point specified already exists, OSFMount will fail.

  • Added "Format as FAT32" as a mount option to newly created Empty RAM drives. For Command Line, specify "format" under the options (-o). Example Syntax:
