MKVExtract jest narzędziem wiersza poleceń i jest w stanie wyodrębnić ścieżki, załączniki, znaczniki, napisy i inne informacje z pliku MKV To bardzo dobre narzędzie. Niestety, może pracować tylko z jednym plikiem w danej chwili. Jeżeli masz wiele plików w formacie MKV, proces wydobywania interesujących nas danych może być bardzo uciążliwy. I tu właśnie przychodzi nam z pomocą MKVCleaver który umożliwia automatyzację całego procesu wydobywania danych. Wystarczy dodać pliki MKV które chcemy wykorzystać. skonfigurować wszytko tak jak chcemy, zatwierdzić cały proces i odejść, a następnie wrócić i dalej pracować na wyodrębnionych plikach (np. poprawić wyodrębnione napisy które wymagają korekty lub poprzez usunięcie niepotrzebnych danych w przykładowym pliku widocznym na zrzucie ekranu o nazwie "programyzadarmo.net.pl.720p.BluRay.x264.MKV" zmniejszyć jego wielkość i zaoszczędzić w ten sposób miejsce na płatnym serwerze.
