I had not done much defragmenting in the past because newer versions of Windows does a pretty good job of keeping files together. When I saw that PerfectDisk 11 would allow you to view the content of each block and select the files to defragment individually, I wanted to learn more. I wouldn't have to defrag the entire disk, just the files I work with often. I could choose among free space consolidation, simple defrag and SMARTPlacement. The first two I understand and have used, but I liked the sound of SMARTPlacement. I could even customize SMARTPlacement.
A fully licensed copy of PerfectDisk 11 Pro might even convince me to begin defragmenting on a regular schedule.

In my opinion,PerfectDisk is one of the best commercial disk defraggers.It's capability to automatically start defragging the disks when the cpu and disk I/O values dip down a certain level is really a "well thought of" feature.Currently I use Auslogics Disk Defrag.Given a chance,I would definitely like to switch to this gem.
